By using Max, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect:
Max collects the following types of information:
• Profile Data: Information you provide during onboarding, such as your name, gender, date of birth, height, weight, body fat, muscle mass, goals, experience level, equipment, and additional details.
• Activity & Progress Data: Workout completions, daily step count, nutrition targets (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat), and training plan data.
• Apple Health Data: With your explicit consent, Max may read weight, body composition, step count, and related fitness data from Apple Health.
• Device Data: Basic technical information (device type, operating system version, app version).
• Server Requests: When Max sends data to our server, it may include your user profile, daily exercises, nutrition progress, and progress history. This data is used to generate personalized insights via OpenAI.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
• Generate personalized workouts, nutrition plans, and progress insights.
• Provide daily summaries and guidance messages.
• Track your fitness trends over time.
• Improve app functionality and user experience.
• Maintain security and prevent misuse of the App.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Sharing of Information
• Max is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment.
• You acknowledge that any exercise, nutrition, or activity guidance carries inherent risks, and you assume all risks associated with your use of the App.
• You agree that you are solely responsible for your own health decisions and outcomes.
4. Local Accounts
• With OpenAI: Data sent to our server may be transmitted to OpenAI’s API for generating personalized coaching messages and summaries.
• With Apple Health: Data flows one-way from Apple Health to Max only with your consent. We do not write data back to Apple Health without your permission.
• With Service Providers: We may share limited data with cloud providers and analytics tools strictly for app functionality and improvements.
• Legal & Safety: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Revenue Arc Corp, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
• Data stored locally remains on your device until deleted.
• Data transmitted to our servers for AI processing may be retained temporarily in logs for debugging and service improvements.
• We do not guarantee permanent storage of your data.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. By using Max, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
7. Your Choices
• You can revoke access to Apple Health at any time in iOS settings.
• You may disable notifications through device settings.
• You may delete the app to remove local data from your device.
8. Children’s Privacy
Max is intended for adults 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. International Users
If you access Max outside the United States, you consent to your data being transferred and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, via the App). Continued use of Max after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
